Author Your Story
You’ve lived through turning points, unexpected encounters, difficult choices, and moments that changed everything. ‘Author Your Story’ helps you bring those experiences onto the page—and see your life from a perspective you may never have considered.
A guided conversation becomes a story over time, one memory and one scene at a time.
What would you notice if your life were a book?
When you’re living through something, you see it from inside the moment. Reading it as a scene gives you a little distance: you can see what you wanted, what stood in your way, and what happened next.
‘Author Your Story’ helps you gather your memories and shape them into an honest account of your lived experience. You decide what those experiences mean. Sometimes, simply seeing them on the page is enough to notice something new.
- The choice you almost didn’t make.
- The person you never forgot.
- The day things stopped going according to plan.
- Where would your story begin?
Every story has moments that stay with us.
From memory to scene
Start with a conversation.
Guided questions help you recall the periods, people, and events that have shaped your life. Answer one question at a time, skip what you prefer, and return whenever you’re ready.
Bring a moment into focus.
Choose an experience to explore more closely. Where were you? Who was there? What did you want? What happened? Your answers provide the foundation for a scene.
See it take shape.
AI turns the details you’ve provided into a first-person draft. You review it, correct it, and refine the wording until it faithfully reflects what you remember.
Build your story over time.
Gather scenes into chapters, revisit earlier memories, and find an arrangement that makes sense to you. You don’t have to know the whole story before you begin.
Your memories are the source
The writing is built from what you share. The system is designed to preserve your account without inventing events, conversations, motives, or outcomes to make it more dramatic. If you don’t remember a detail, you can leave it uncertain. If you remember something differently later, you can revise it. Earlier drafts remain available as your story develops.
You don’t have to write a book for anyone else
You might want to preserve family memories, explore a turning point, or finally put words to an experience you’ve carried for years. Your story can be something you share—or something you keep for yourself. You choose what to include, how far to go, and when to pause.
Start with one moment
You don’t need writing experience or a perfectly ordered memory. Begin with something that stayed with you. Author Your Story will help you take it from there. The guided interviews and scene planning are free. A paid membership adds AI-generated scene drafts and tools for refining their style.
FAQs
Do I need to be a writer?
No. You begin by answering guided questions about your experiences. When you’re ready, AI helps turn the details you’ve provided into readable scenes that you can review and revise.
Does my life have to be extraordinary?
No. An ordinary conversation, a small decision, or a moment nobody else noticed can have a place in your story. You choose the experiences worth preserving or exploring.
Will AI make things up?
The system is designed to write from the details you provide, without inventing facts or dialogue. You review each draft and can correct anything that doesn’t accurately reflect your recollection.
What if I don’t remember everything?
Uncertainty is welcome. You can give approximate dates, leave details open, and return to them later. The process doesn’t require you to fill every gap.
Do I have to revisit difficult experiences?
You choose which memories to explore. Questions can be skipped, and you can pause or stop at any time. There’s no requirement to address every part of your past.
Do I have to finish or publish it?
No. You can work on a single scene, develop several chapters, or keep adding to a personal archive over time. Sharing is optional.
Is there a cost?
The interviews and planning are free. Generating prose scenes and applying style refinements require a paid membership.
